Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Gujarat Giants by 32 runs in WPL 2026 as Shreyanka Patil took a maiden five-wicket haul after Radha Yadav’s fifty helped RCB post 182 at DY Patil Stadium.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB-W) defeated Gujarat Giants (GG-W) by 32 runs in game nine of WPL 2026 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Shreyanka Patil stole the spotlight through a stunning five-wicket haul. Batting first, RCB were put under pressure early as they slipped to 43 for 4. Gujarat’s bowlers were sharp in the Powerplay and looked in full control. But the game turned on its head once Radha Yadav and Richa Ghosh came together. The duo stitched a crucial partnership of 105 runs for the fifth wicket and brought calm to the innings.

Radha Yadav anchored the innings beautifully, scoring 66 off 47 balls and reaching her maiden WPL fifty. She rotated the strike well, punished loose deliveries, and held the innings together when the top order had failed. Richa Ghosh complemented her perfectly, adding 44 from 28 balls with her aggressive stroke play. Their 105-run stand completely shifted the momentum in RCB’s favour.
After Richa fell, Nadine de Klerk played a short but effective cameo of 26 runs off 12 balls to help RCB reach a challenging 182 for 7. Gujarat also dropped a few key catches, giving both Radha and Richa lifelines, which proved costly. Sophie Devine was the pick of the bowlers for Gujarat, taking three wickets, while Renuka Singh and Kashvee Gautam contributed one each. Despite their efforts, the Giants could not restrict RCB to a smaller total.

Chasing 183, Gujarat started positively with a 34-run opening partnership between Beth Mooney and Sophie Devine. Mooney was aggressive, scoring 27 off 14 balls, but after that, wickets started falling regularly. Shreyanka Patil came into the attack and dismantled the Gujarat middle order. She bowled with precision and confidence, taking key wickets at crucial moments.
Bharati Fulmali tried to fight back with a quick 39, but it wasn’t enough. Shreyanka finished with incredible figures of 5 for 23, marking her maiden WPL five-wicket haul. Lauren Bell supported her well, picking up three wickets and ensuring Gujarat never recovered. The Giants were bowled out for 150 in 18.5 overs, falling 32 runs short of the target.
With this win, RCB extended their unbeaten run in WPL 2026 and continued their dominant start to the season.
