Virender Sehwag-led Diamonds faced Shahid Afridi-led Royals on the Day 1 of two matches T20 series at the serene backdrop of beautiful Alps.

Sehwag played exceptionally well as he scored 62 runs off 31 balls, a quickfire spell which included five sixes and four fours.

Though, 40-year-old Sehwag's magnificent performance, could not do much as his team lost the game to Afridi-led Royals.

As it was expected, the famous rivals were face to face, Sehwag-Afridi-Akhtar, some 'chats' were predicted and same happened during the game but in a cheerful way.

When he was playing, a witty comment was recorded in the stumps mic. In which Sehwag said to Afridi, "tu apni harkato se baaz nhi ayega."

The match was played on a beautiful St Moritzfrozen lake and cricketers from across the globe teamed up and played this unique form of cricket.

Shahid Afridi crashed on the ice but hi steam won. He was sent back to the icy pavilion without scoring a single run.

On the other hand, Abdul Razzak was in form as he was able to seam the ball on the artificial pitch and also took some amazing catches.

Playing on the ice is not a cake walk. players were given proper instruction before the match.

The commentator Ramesh Powar and Wasim Akram specifically praised the ground staff because they said that pitch looked good for batting.

The second match is scheduled on February 9 on the same pitch.
