Harsha Bhogle, a cricket analyst shared his thoughts on the "harsh" punishment given to Steve Smith and David Warner.

He said, "I must admit 12 months is a very harsh ban. 6 months I thought was right but clearly this reflects the uproar in Australia."

He further added, "It means they miss the India series and have little time to get ready for the World Cup."

He also said, "Haven't Australia made enough of a spectacle of Steve Smith? I'm blown by what he is being put through."

Both the players have been banned as they were found guilty of changing the condition of the ball in the third Test match of a four-match series against South Africa.

Also, Cameron Bancroft has been ruled out from cricket related activities for 9 months.
