Ravi Shastri shared a video as Cyclone Nisarga made landfall in Mumbai on Wednesday afternoon. Whereas Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina among others urged people to follow the do's and don'ts.

The head coach of the Indian cricket team, Ravi Shastri on Wednesday (June 3) took to social media platform Twitter to share a video of Cyclone Nisarga which made landfall near Alibaug on the Maharasthra coast on Wednesday. Apart from Shastri, cricketers Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Suresh Raina also posted about Cyclone Nisarga.  

“Never experienced anything like this. In the eye of the storm #CycloneNisarga Wind speed close to 100 km/hr. Ferocious #CycloneUpdate #Alibaug #Mumbai #NisargaCyclone (sic),” Shastri captioned the video.

While Shastri shared a video of the cyclone, Raina urged people to stay alert and not believe in fake forwards on different social media platforms.

“As #CycloneNisarg has hit #Alibaug the next 3 hours are very crucial. I appeal to all the residents of West coast of India to follow the guidelines issued by @mybmc & @NDRFHQ . Do not get manipulated by fake forwards. #ActResponsibly #StayAlert (sic),” Raina tweeted.

Whereas, Rahane urged people to take all the precautions suggested by BMC to ensure minimum impact. Kohli simply retweeted the do’s and don’ts for Mumbaikars on Cyclone Nisarga.

“June is when we celebrate the first monsoon showers in Mumbai, but this time it has come with an uninvited guest #CycloneNisarga. Let's make sure we take all the precautions suggested by @mybmc to ensure minimum impact. For any concerns, call on 1916 & press 4,” wrote Rahane.

Meanwhile, in Mumbai airport, no landing or take-offs will happen between 14:30 hrs to 19:00 hrs today owing to cyclone Nisarga
