"InshaAllah this will provide affordable houses for our less privileged strata of society," the Prime Minister added, promising 6 million jobs.

He also said that his government will aim to "create demand in 40 industries directly involved in house building and attract FDI."

The move comes shortly after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief launched a nationwide cleanliness drive earlier this week.

PM Imran Khan said the government's "Clean Green Pakistan" initiative will be launched at the tehsil level.

"Brain is the powerhouse which drives change," he said, adding that it will teach kids in the country on the importance of cleanliness.
