'Divide Pak, merge PoK with India’: Telangana CM Revanth Reddy urges PM Modi

As the hunt continues for perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack, a woman says she met two of them only a day back. Ekta Tiwari, a model, told News18 that they posed as mule handlers and were enquiring about their religion. She told the publication that after the photos of the terrorists were released, she instantly recognised two of them and gave the details to the police.
Ekta recalled that she was in Pahalgam with a group of 20 people on April 20 and met the men on April 21. They had asked a local mule handler to arrange a mule ride for them. The next day, two men showed up who claimed they were mule handlers. However, they acted suspiciously and asked them strange questions.

Ekta found their behaviour strange and didn't reveal much. They asked her whether she had a husband and her plans to get married. They told her to read the Quran, and one of them said he teaches the holy book. Ekta said she was wearing a rudraksha mala and told them that she doesn't read the Quran.&nbsp;

Three houses belonging to active terrorists were demolished in south Kashmir's three districts - Pulwama, Shopian and Kulgam in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people. These terrorists whose houses were demolished have been identified as Ehsan Ahmad Sheikh, Shahid Ahmad Kuttay and Zakir Ahmed.&nbsp;
Ehsan Ahmad Sheikh's two-story house in Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was demolished some time ago. He has been a resident of Murran, Pulwama, and active since June 2023. <h2>Massive search operation for the terrorists</h2>
National Investigation Agency (NIA), along with Jammu Kashmir police, has taken over the probe into the Pahalgam terror attack. The security forces have also intensified anti-terror operations in south Kashmir, using drones and choppers to continue surveillance of the area.&nbsp;
The NIA team, led by Inspector General Vijay Sakhare, currently stationed in Srinagar has formally taken over the probe with logistical and intelligence support from Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The Government in the Southern Indian State of Tamil Nadu has announced that it will be setting up a dedicated manufacturing space to cater for Taiwanese firms. Dubbed the Taiwanese Industrial Park, the facility is to be situated near the capital city of Chennai. 
"Taiwanese investments constitute a significant share of the FDI into the State, particularly in sectors like electronics and footwear. The Taiwanese Industrial Park will target to attract investments of Rs.10,000cr ($1.17bn) from Taiwanese firms in sectors such as electronic components, technical textiles, and footwear components, creating employment potential for 20,000 jobs," said the Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce Dept of the Tamil Nadu Government.&nbsp;

Taiwan&rsquo;s economic interaction with India has gained momentum in recent years with several bilateral agreements on agriculture, investments, industrial and customs cooperation, among others.
Of more than 250 Taiwanese firms invested in India, more than 60 per cent are based in the Southern part of the country, and most of these firms are based in Tamil Nadu, according to the data from the Taiwanese Government. Among these firms are leading contract manufacturers of mobile phones and electronic gadgets and makers of non-leather footwear.

After the meeting, Union Minister of Jal Shakti, CR PPaatil,said, &ldquo;A roadmap was prepared in the meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Three options were discussed in the meeting. The government is working on short-term, medium-term, and long-term measures so that not even a drop of water goes to Pakistan. Soon, desilting of rivers will be done to stop the water and divert it.&rdquo;
The decision comes after terrorists attacked tourists at Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam on 22 April, killing 26 people and leaving many injured.

On 6 January, Jain and his relative, Binil T B (32), were hit in a drone attack near Rostov-on-Don, around 1,000 kilometres from Moscow. Jain survived with serious injuries to his stomach, while Binil lost his life in the attack. Four months later, Binil&rsquo;s body is still not in the hands of Indian authorities for repatriation to Kerala.
<h2>Months in hospital with fear of being sent back to battle</h2>
Jain was treated in a Moscow hospital where injured soldiers were taken. &ldquo;I had sustained injuries in my stomach and had undergone multiple surgeries at a hospital in Moscow, where those injured in the war front were treated,&rdquo; he told The Indian Express.

Fearing he would be sent straight back into combat, Jain contacted his family and the Indian embassy the same day. Their intervention helped secure his release and return to India.
While Jain is now back in Kerala, he said he still has no news about what happened to Binil&rsquo;s mortal remains.

Both men had repeatedly tried to leave the war zone, sending voice messages to relatives saying they were in danger and being forced to fight. Their original contract with the Russian Army was for one year, starting April 2024.
