The Ministry of Commerce and Industry reported that the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) for June was (-) 0.13 per cent, a decrease from May's 0.39 per cent. Troops of the Ibex Brigade were immediately mobilised and have reached the affected site to assess the situation and undertake rescue operations. Extent of damage is being ascertained and updates will follow as relief operations unfold," the army's Central Command said.&nbsp;Union Home Minister Amit Shah, meanwhile, spoke to Pushkar Singh Dhami and assured help.

The process will continue till every terror victim's family is rehabilitated.&nbsp;''Today is 5th August and on this day in 2019, the PM took a decision to end the prejudice against the people of J&amp;K. We witnessed a new dawn in J&amp;K. &nbsp;The post by the Indian Army comes amid the rising tensions between New Delhi and Washington after US President Donald Trump announced 25 per cent tariffs on Indian goods starting August 7. On Monday (Aug 4), Trump issued a fresh threat of a “substantial hike” in trade duties on India for buying Russian oil and “selling it on the open market for big profits”.&nbsp;&nbsp;Following the statements made by the US president, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said, “India has been targeted by the United States and the European Union for importing oil from Russia after the commencement of the Ukraine conflict.”&nbsp;The MEA added in an X post, “In fact, India began importing from Russia because traditional supplies were diverted to Europe after the outbreak of the conflict. The United States at that time actively encouraged such imports by India for strengthening global energy markets stability.”&nbsp;“In this background, the targeting of India is unjustified and unreasonable. Like any major economy, India will take all necessary measures to safeguard its national interests and economic security,” the statement added.&nbsp;

This will be followed by a protest outside Parliament at 10:30 am under the banner ‘Our Vote, Our Right, Our Fight’ — demanding the rollback of the Bihar electoral roll revision.<h2>What's on Parliament's agenda today?</h2>The day in Parliament will begin with obituary references to former MPs Tilakdhari Prasad Singh, Ram Rati Bind, and Shibu Soren, reports ANI. According to the List of Business issued by the Lok Sabha Secretariat, Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya is scheduled to move amendments to the National Anti-Doping Act, 2022, for consideration and passage in the House. The Union Sports Minister will also move the National Sports Governance Bill, 2025, in the lower house of the Parliament.
