Post-scam, PNB transfers nearly 18,000 employees after CVC rap
More than 18 thousand employees of Punjab National Bank have been transferred in under one week as per Central Vigilance Commission's directive. CVC's order comes in the wake of the ongoing investigations in the Rs 11,400 crore PNB scam involving Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksi among others.
Pakistan to get its first-ever Dalit woman senator
Kirshna Kumari Kolhi from Thar in Pakistan's Sindh province will become the first-ever Hindu woman Senator in the Muslim-majority country, the ruling Pakistan People's Party said today. The Election Commission of Pakistan has accepted the papers of 39-year-old Kolhi who was nominated by the ruling PPP for a Senate seat on minority from Sindh Assembly. The election will take place on March 3.
Ignited Minds: 'Kamal is a second Kalam' posters hit Madurai streets
Kamal Haasan, 62, is all set to announce his political party in Madurai today. "I will start my rally from Rameswaram and will announce party flag and ideology in Madurai. All are invited," the actor was quoted as saying ahead of his trip to Madurai on Tuesday. He picked Madurai as it is the cultural and political capital of the state. Hassan said that he will address the crowd in his hometown in Paramakudi in Ramanathapuram and in Sivaganga on the way.
