PM Modi wishes Rahul Gandhi a 'fruitful tenure' as new Congress President
Rahul will officially take over as Congress president -- from his mother -- on Dec 16
Amid all the congratulatory messages which Rahul Gandhi has been receiving for his unopposed elevation as the President of Indian National Congress, it would be Prime Minister Narendra Modi's wishes which would have brought a smile on his face.
The two political rivals left no stone unturned to defame each other's position and policies in the Gujarat assembly election campaigns.
But after the news of Rahul Gandhi's elevation was confirmed, PM Modi wasted no time and took to his Twitter handle to wish the Gandhi scion a fruitful tenure:

Ramachandran, who is also the All India Congress Committee's returning officer for the election, added that all 89 nominations proposals were found to be valid, and Rahul had been elevated to the top post since he was the only candidate in the fray.
Rahul will take over the reins of the party from his mother and current president, Sonia Gandhi, on December 16, who held held the position for almost 19 years.
