Ahead of PM Modi's visit to J&K on Saturday, Indian security forces have increased safety measures in the state.

PM Modi will be inaugurating the 300-Megawatt hydroelectricity project in the Valley.

The Indian prime minister will also be laying the foundation stone for the longest road tunnel through the Zojila Pass to connect the Valley with Ladakh.

The 14.2 km tunnel is estimated to cost over 6,000 crores and will cut travel time between Srinagar to Leh to 15 minutes.

The tunnel is set to take seven years to build by India.
