
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina inaugurated Bangladesh Bhavan on Friday.
Modi arrived at Santiniketan on Friday morning and was received by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
The Prime Minister also attended the convocation of Visva Bharati University.
Bangladesh Bhavan, which symbolises cultural ties between India and Bangladesh, features a museum that showcases Rabindranath Tagore's association with Bangladesh. It also exhibits the Liberation War of Bangladesh and the journey of Indo-Bangla relations.
Bangladesh Bhavan was built with the help of funds from Bangladesh at the cost of Rs 25 crore.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will later head to Jharkhand wherein to the foundation of development projects worth Rs 27,000 crore.
