Three terrorists were killed and a Central Reserve Police Force personnel and two policemen injured during an encounter between terrorists and security forces in Srinagar today.

The encounter took place in the Chattabal area of the Jammu and Kashmir summer capital where the terrorists were holed up inside a house.

The area was cordoned off and a search operation launched.

The terrorists fired at the security forces during a search operation.

Incidents of stone-pelting were also reported from the encounter site.

Two terrorists, including top Hizbul Mujahideen ultra Sameer Ahmad alias Tiger, were killed in an encounter with security forces in Drabgam area of Pulwama District on Monday. 

Restrictions were imposed in parts of Srinagar, Pulwama and Kulgam of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday in view of a strike call by separatists to protest the killing of a civilian near the site of the encounter.
