Indrani, Peter Mukerjea file for divorce in Mumbai's Bandra family court  

Indrani Mukerjea and Peter Mukherjea, prime accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, filed for divorce in Mumbai's Bandra Family Court on Tuesday.

The couple sought permission from the special CBI court on September 15 to attend the divorce proceedings before the family court.

In June, former media baron Peter Mukerjea agreed to divorce his wife and prime accused in the Sheena Bora case Indrani Mukerjea.

Over a month after she sent him a notice, Peter Mukerjea, 64, consented to divorce his wife in June.

Indrani had sent him a notice for an amicable end to their 16-year-old marriage stating that the marriage had "irretrievably broken down."

Indrani had sent a divorce notice to Peter Mukerjea in April this year.

The settlement plan is to divide properties and assets, including properties in Spain and London, and bank fixed deposits and other substantial investments in domestic and foreign banks.
