A grenade attack took place in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district on Saturday.

Jammu and Kashmir Police tweeted out about the attack stating that at least 10 people have been injured including a reporter and a traffic policeman, although the injuries are not severe.

"Update. 10 persons including a traffic policeman and a journalist injured. Only minor injuries reported so far. Follow up action initiated. Police on job to identity & nab the culprit," the tweet read.

According to reports, the attack was carried out at the Deputy Commissioner's office. More details are awaited.

The attack comes right after an intel input warned of a possible terror strike in the national capital ahead of the festive season.

Sources also added that the input specifically mentioned a possible security threat to the national capital and Kashmir, news agency ANI reported on Thursday.
