<p>Multiple Kashmiri Pandit community members warned the government that terrorism is still not finished in the Kashmir Valley, but added that these incidents will also not intimidate them. They said that they would continue to live in their homeland alongside the Muslim brothers.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Jammu and Kashmir Police have started an investigation into the case. The FSL teams have taken the samples, and an FIR has been registered under section 326. The police have also taken CCTV footage of the area for investigation.&nbsp;</p>

The highest voter turnout was recorded in the Surankote assembly segment while the lowest was recorded in the Kulgam Assembly segment," Pole told reporters.</p>

<p>"As far as the poll percentage is concerned in Union Territory... in 1989 the poll percentage was 29.93 per cent, in 1996, the poll percentage was 47.99 per cent, in 1998, it was 43.35 per cent, in 1999, it was 30.89 per cent, in 2004 it was 34.07 per cent, in 2009, it was 39. 04 per cent, in 2014 it was 49.58 per cent, and in 2019 it was 44. 07 per cent and it was 58 per cent in 2024," he added.</p>

<p>"At about 1900hrs, police received information about a terror incident at Wanihama area of Anantnag. Senior police officers reached the spot. Preliminary investigations revealed that terrorist had fired upon two outside labourers, working at a private School (SAPS) at Wanihama area of Anantnag," said Vijay Kumar, the ADGP Police.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"They have been identified as Bekuu Ram, a resident of Bihar, &amp; Tej Bahadur, a resident of Nepal. In this terror incident, both the labourers received gunshot injuries and were immediately shifted to hospital for treatment," Kumar added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Jammu and Kashmir police, both the victims were called by terrorists to come out for some work and the moment they came out, terrorists fired upon them with a pistol. &nbsp;</p>

India: Two labourers shot at and injured by terrorists in south Kashmir’s Anantnag

<p>Jammu and Kashmir Police said that they have killed two Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH) terrorists in a brief chance encounter at the Thajiwara Bijbehara area of Anantnag.</p>

<p>The killed terrorists have been identified as Fayaz Ahmad Kumar alias Faheem Kumar, son of Mohammad Ramzan Kumar, and Owais Ahmad Khan, son of Ghulam Mohammad Khan. Both terrorists were residents of Waghama Bijbehara and were affiliated with the proscribed terror outfit AGuH.</p>

Besides, they were also involved in grenade lobbing incidents at Padshahibagh on 15/06/2022 and Sangam Chowk on 22/08/2022,” said a Jammu and Kashmir Police official.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The security forces also recovered arms, ammunition, and other incriminating materials from the encounter site. All the recovered material has been taken into case records for further investigation. In this connection, police have registered a case under relevant sections of law and an investigation has been initiated.</p>

<p>ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar congratulated Anantnag Police for carrying out the successful and swift encounter without any collateral damage.&nbsp;</p>
