Karan Johar's 'Kalank' goes on floors: Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur spotted!

We announced yesterday that Karan Johar revealed the star cast of Abhishek Varman’s next film titled Kalank which incidentally is Karan’s late father, Yash Johar’s dream project based in the 1940s.
Today, Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar along with Varun Dhawan’s father David Dhawan kickstarted the film’s shoot with a mini get-together of-sorts. Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur were seen present with the makers.
Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan posted an Instagram story in which he wrote: “Day 1, Kalank” indicating that he is going to the shoot location.
The movie in all stars the likes of Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur.
The film will be directed by Abhishek Varman who also made 2 States starring Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.The film will be jointly produced by Sajid Nadiadwala who said, “April 18, 2014, was when ‘2 States’ had released, and now on April 18, 2018, ‘Kalank’ begins its journey. This multi-starrer has a story that will cross all borders and will be historic in the true sense of the word. I am genuinely happy to be back with the team, as this film is special to all of us.”
