Anushka Shetty seems to be in a good phase of her career after a successful stint in "Baahubali" with Prabhas.
Now her latest release "Bhaagmathie" has recorded a terrific opening worldwide -- releasing on January 26.
The film grossed a whopping Rs 12 crore from its Telugu version alone on the first day. It is the second biggest opening for Anushka whose "Rudhramadevi" grossed around Rs 12.5 crore on the first day.
What is to be noted, that while "Rudhramadevi" also featured Rana Daggubati and Allu Arjun, "Bhaagmathie" purely works on the merit of its content and Anushka’s popularity among the masses.
Trade analysts, in fact, believe that "Bhaagmathie" might end up as the highest grossing film of Anushka’s career.
Directed by G Ashok, "Bhaagmathie" is a horror-thriller. The film has done exceptional business in the US where it has already crossed half a million mark, becoming the first woman-centric film to rake in such moolah. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film as of Saturday made Rs 3.44 crore in the US.
