New Delhi's North Block area was put on high alert Wednesday (May 22) after the police control room received a bomb threat mail.
The North Block houses India's Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

Delhi Fire Service in a statement said two fire tenders have been rushed to the site. A bomb disposal and detection team as well as a dog squad have been deployed on the site. As of now, nothing suspicious has been found but searches are on.
Several police vehicles have been deployed in the area, and more details are awaited.
This comes days after several hospitals in the city and Delhi's international airport received similar bomb threat mails.

Earlier, more than 150 schools in Delhi and adjoining Noida received similar emails. However, nothing suspicious was found in ensuing search operations and police concluded that they could be hoax emails.
Delhi Police said Tuesday (May 21) the IP addresses of the threat mails weretraced to Budapest, Hungary's capital.
Delhi Police said they are now seeking cooperation from their counterparts in Hungary for further investigation.
