Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta insists he has moved on from the Erling Haaland row as his side prepares for the League Cup tie against Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday (Sep 25). Arsenal, whoalmost won at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League were denied three points after John Stones scored a stoppage-time equaliser. After the goal, Haaland was deemed to have thrown a ball at Gabriel Jesus while there were also words exchanged between the Norwegian and Arteta.

Arteta moves on from Haaland row

"We have already moved on and we are now ready to battle again tomorrow," Arteta said while addressing the pre-match press conference ahead of the Bolton clash.

The game at the Etihad Stadium saw both sides give their best with Arsenal taking the lead after Haaland had scored the opening goal. However, the referee was in the spotlight for two decisions that influenced the match. Arsenal pushed for an attack while the City skipper was out of position and speaking to referee Michael Oliver. On the other hand, Leandro Trossard was shown a second yellow card for kicking the ball away while he was already on a yellow card.

After City’s equaliser tempers flared as Haaland first threw the ball at Jesus which was not inspected by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) while the Norwegian attempted to shoulder push Thomas Partey after Arsenal restarted the match. He was not done there as he also exchanged words with Arteta after the match was over.

The 2-2 draw between Man City and Arsenal also meant both sides are unbeaten at the start of the Premier League season. Both are expected to give a tough fight for the Premier League title having been on the rise for the last two seasons.
