When time stands still: Priyanka Chopra writes heartfelt note to friend Meghan Markle

Priyanka Chopra, who was one of the guests invited for the royal wedding yesterday said that she teared up after seeing the ceremony and has left a heartfelt note to the close friend and bride Meghan Markle.

Taking to Twitter, Chopra shared a picture of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from yesterday and wrote "Every once in a while there is a moment when time stands still. That happened today. You, my friend, were the epitome of grace, love and beauty. Every choice made at this wedding by you both will go down in history, not just because it was your wedding but because this incredible wedding stood for change and hope."

"Thank you for being the perfect picture of all things good. Seeing your union and love blessed in front of my eyes made me so happy and tear up! I wish you both love happiness and togetherness always," she said.

The 35-year-old opted for a light lilac jacket and a matching pencil skirt by Vivienne Westwood for the big day – along with an epic fascinator – but revealed the outfit didn’t arrive until the very last minute.

From Oprah Winfrey to Priyanka Chopra to Prince Harry's ex Chelsy Davy, the royal wedding saw Hollywood royalty rub shoulders with British aristocracy.

Prince Harry was given the title Duke of Sussex by his grandmother Queen Elizabeth on Saturday, Buckingham Palace said, meaning his American fiancee Meghan Markle will become a duchess after the couple wed later.

Apart from Indian actress Priyanka Chopra, three other Indians attended the wedding.

Suhani Jalota from Mumbai who is the founder Myna Mahila Foundation, the NGO that promotes menstrual hygiene and was selected by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as one of the seven charities to benefit from donations from the Royal Wedding.

The foundation is also one of seven charities the royal couple has selected for guests to donate money to in lieu of gifts after Markle visited it last year.
