Stranger Things Season 5 is almost ready to reach our screens. A behind-the-scenes teaser was released on Monday. We learned in the BTS clip that the shoot of the show is halfway through. We all now also know that this will be the last and final season of the popular Netflix series. Millie Bobby Brown and her gang made an appearance in the teaser where we get to see the lead actors sharing their thoughts about the new season. Millie, who plays Eleven on the show, got nostalgic and talked about how she was 10 when the show started and now she is turning 20.

Likely Storyline of Season 5
Season 4 ended on a cliffhanger, with Vecna succeeding in opening up a massive gate to the Upside Down. So expect a battle unlike any other where the group fights to defeat the eviland his army. The biggest season yet might see a time jump. The Duffer brothers already talked about this in 2022 since a time jump will help complete the story. Besides, the cast is now older and it just makes sense, considering they couldn't film seasons 4 and 5 back to back, something they said they would have preferred.
The entire season is also expected to be based only in Hawkins, unlike season 4 where we went to different places.Season 5 is also expected to move along quickly, with high intensity from the get-go.
Secret Addition to Stranger Things Cast
While all the actors comprising the main cast will return, there are some new names joining the cast as well, including one that has been kept a secret. Linda Hamilton is joining the show but there is no word on the character she will be playing. The announcement was made at the 2023 Tudum event by her Terminator co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Someone else is also reportedlyjoining the show, but it hasn't been revealed who. On December 13, 2023, Ross Duffer revealed that shooting would begin after the holidays, and posted the cast list. One name was crossed out... leading to speculation that a new, or maybe an old, cast member is coming in.
Stranger Things Spin-off?
The show might be ending with season 5, but there has been speculation for the longest time that a spin-off might be in the works. “We do have an idea for a spin-off that we’re super excited about…but we haven’t told anyone the idea yet, much less written it,” the Duffer Brothers said in May 2022.
No one knows what the story might be, but Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike on the show, apparently correctly guessed what the spin-off plot might be about.
