Superstar Rajinikanth is currently on his trip to the Himalayas. Early this week, the actor embarked on his annualpilgrimage, which included hisvisits tothe holy shrines Kedarnath and Badrinath.

Photos and videos of the revered actor from the two places have been widely circulated on social media. One picture of the veteran actor showed him posing against the backdrop of the mystic snow-cappedmountains.

In another viralvisual, the Jailer actor, guarded by security, can be seen offering prayers at the temples. Wearing a white veshti with matching shirt and a shawl, the actor was seen walking with a group of people and police officers near the Badrinath temple.

Upon his visit to the northern state, Uttarakhand Police felicitated the actor with a souvenir. Sharing the picture on the official handle of Uttarakhand Police on X, they wrote, “Welcome and felicitation of renowned Indian film actor Rajinikanth ji on his arrival to Devbhoomi for Shri Badrinath darshan. After the darshan, he said that he is overwhelmed by the darshan of Shri Badrinath Dham. He prays to God for the welfare of the people and prosperity of the country.”

Before beginning his religious quest, the actor told news agency ANI, "Every year I used to get new experience that made me continue my spiritual journey again and again. I believe even this time, (I) will get new experiences."

Adding that the world needs spirituality, he said, “The whole world needs spirituality, as it's important for every human being. Being spiritual means experiencing peace and tranquility, and fundamentally, it involves believing in God.”

The actor embarked on his spiritual trip after his return from Dubai, where the actor was granted a golden visa by the UAE.

The renowned actor received the prestigious visa on May 23 inAbu Dhabi, where hewas clicked at the BAPS Hindu Mandir.

On the work front, Rajinikanthrecently wrapped up the shootingVettaiyan. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan and Ritika Singh in lead roles.

Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music of the movie.

Vettaiyan, which is superstar Rajinikanth's 170th film, will hit the theatres in October this year.

The actor will kick off the shoot of his next project titled Coolie soon. The movie is directed by Lokesh Kanagrajas.
