Actress Zendaya turned heads at the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday (October 19) in Cleveland, Ohio. She paid homage to legendary designer Bob Mackie and pop icon Cher.
The Dune star, 28, stepped onto the red carpet in a dazzling vintage ensemble from Mackie's 2001 Fall Fashion collection, styled to perfection by her long-time collaborator Law Roach.
Her outfit, featuring a luxurious white satin trench coat and a shimmering gold bodysuit, was a nod to Mackie’s famous designs, often worn by Cher. The coat embroidered with intricate gold and iridescent bugle beads added a dramatic flair to the look while the bodysuit adorned with more hand-beaded gold and diamond accents gave a bold, skin-baring look.
Roach, 46, shared details about the striking ensemble on his Instagram, describing it as part of Mackie’s Foreign Intrigue couture collection. He highlighted the white silk satin coat’s dramatic collar and cuffs, and the nude illusion halter gown that shimmered with hand-sewn beads and stones.
The outfit seemed to be a tribute to Cher, who has been a long-time muse for Mackie. The legendary singer has worn his designs since the late 1960s and her influence on fashion continues to inspire stars like Zendaya.
