Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have decided to part ways after two years of marital bliss. The former couple is currently working together to come to an agreement for their divorce filing. And, the 55-year-old's first husband, Ojani Noa, thinks she should stay away from relationships for a while.
In an interview with Daily Mail, Noa advised JLo to remain single for a while before jumping into another marriage. “Stay single for a while, take 12 months off. If she meets someone new, maybe keep it private and not get married again. She has an amazing career and she’s a hard-working, beautiful woman, but when you’re with someone, you have to spend quality time with them and not think about being on camera,” Ojani said.
Ojani further said that Ben looksdisturbed by all the attention JLo's partner gets from the media.
"I can tell you in my own experience, we would have disagreements in the car and then 20 minutes later, we’d have to sit and pretend everything was fine. But you can only pretend so much. When we were going through hell and going out as a couple, I was in a bad mood too. Because I knew inside we were not good. I hated going on the red carpet. She would try and get me to come and I’d say: ‘No way. I’m not going to pretend,'" he added.
JLo and Noa's wedding only lasted for 11 months. They tied the knot in February 1997 and parted ways in January 1998. They reportedly met in Miami, where she was filming Blood and Wine.
The singer's second marriage was to dancer and choreographer Cris Judd. They first met in Spain in late 2000 when he directed her music video for “Love Don’t Cost a Thing”. They tied the knot in September 2001 and parted ways in June 2002.
Her third marriage was with fellow Latin music superstar Marc Anthony. The marriage lasted for over a decade and they decided to part ways in 2011. They share twins, Max and Emme.
