
In a bizarre turn of events, it looks like their divorce might cost them a fortune as Jennifer Lopez and her actor-husband Ben Affleck didn’t sign for a prenup. Guess, they really thought this one was going to last.
Reports suggest that there is a lot of money at stake in Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s divorce and is possibly one of the biggest reasons why they were stalling the process. TMZ reports that the couple didn’t sign a prenup ahead of their wedding two years ago.
After months of speculations of things having gone awry in their lives, Jennifer Lopez has confirmed that the official date of separation with Ben Affleck is their second anniversary date.
Without a signed prenup in place, and no legal document to support their claims, their combined assets will be treated as “community property” meaning both spouses can be viewed as equal owners of property, income or debt regardless of who purchased or who earned it. This would leave the kids’future in disarray.

Jennifer Lopez has had a successful last two years in terms of professional successes including producing films like Shotgun Wedding, The Mother, and This Is Me … Now. She also did Atlas. Last year, she also launched her ready-made cocktail brand, Delola. Her net worth is reported as $400 million as of 2024.
Meanwhile, Ben Affleck wrapped the production on The Accountant 2. He also starred in films like Air and Hypnotic and produced The Instigators during their marriage. His net worth is reportedly lower than Jennifer Lopez’s at $150 million.

According to her divorce filing, Jennifer Lopez waived spousal support and has asked the judge to deny any spousal support claims from Affleck.
JLo and Ben Affleck married in a Georgia wedding ceremony in 2022 just one month after they eloped in Vegas. This is JLo’s fourth divorce and Ben Affleck’s second.
