Jennifer Lopez files for divorce from Ben Affleck after two years of marriage

It is the end of Bennifer 2.0. On August 20, Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from her husband of two years Ben Affleck. The couple tied the knot in July 2022.
According to a report in PEOPLE, Lopez filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court and listed April 26, 2024 as the date of separation. She has reportedly filed for divorce herself without the help of a lawyer.
Ironically, August 20 marks the second anniversary of their traditional wedding ceremony in Georgia. They had earlier married in April in Las Vegas. It is not known whether the couple had signed a pre-nuptial agreement before.
"She tried really hard to make things work, and is heartbroken," a source told PEOPLE of Lopez. “The kids are a top priority, as they always have been."
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck had famously rekindled their romance in 2021 after nearly 20 years. The couple were earlier engaged and were supposed to marry in 2003 but split in 2004.The pair remained friendly in the decade-plus between.

News of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's separation first surfaced in May this year when it was reported that the two were not living in their Los Angeles mansion together. The two only reunited for a few family engagements in between but spent the summer apart in opposite coasts.
