Moviegoers are eagerly awaiting Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa, a project starring three leading ladies of Tinsel Town:Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif. The project was announced in 2021, but there has been no update on it since.
Several reports have been doing the rounds that the multi-starrer movie might have been shelved. However, producer Zoya Akhtar has given a big update on the road-trip movie.
During her interaction with The Indian Express, Zoya Akhtar and her father, lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar, discussed several things about Indian cinema. Amid all these things, Zoya revealed the reasons behind the movie's delay.

When asked about the movie, Zoya said that the movie hasnot been shelved. She went on to reveal that the dates of the leading ladies, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif, as well as of director Farhan Akhtar are thehurdle behind the film's delay.
She said, "I think aligning the three of them, their dates, and Farhan, his dates."
Zoya's fatherJaved, who was present at the event, has alsohailed Alia's performance as he called her one of the 'finest actors.' Mentioning her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's movie Gangubai Kathiawadi, Javed said, “With Gangubai, Alia, today, is perhaps one of the few finest actors.” He added with his trademark cheek, “Actually, I feel she is the finest but I am being diplomatic so other heroines don’t get upset.”

Announced in 2021, the movie directed by Zoyawas set to start filming in 2022. However, it's been almost four years and there has been no update on the movie's production.
At the time of the announcement, Zoya told Variety, “It’s a road film, a slice-of-life film, with three women on the road.”
The film is written by Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti and co-produced by Tiger Baby Productions and Excel Entertainment.
