Ranbir Kapoor starrer Ramayana finally on floors?
After much to and fro, Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is finally on floors. The film which stars Ranbir Kapoor in the leading role has begun production as one picture from the film set is now going viral.
The picture went on floors on April 3 as a picture from what looks like a magnificent set went viral. The person who shared the picture captioned it Ramayana Day 1. An Instagram user named Akruti Singh shared pictures from the sets on her Instagram story. It is believed that Akruti is a part of the film team.
The Ramayana set appeared to be in the construction phase, featuring numerous pillars and wooden walls, obscuring much of the view. What we can make out however is the temple-like dome structure.
What we know about Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana
Since the topic touches a lot of nerves, no formal announcements regarding the cast and crew of the film have been made as of now. Ranbir Kapoor is speculated to play Lord Ram. He is yet to join the crew. A report by India Today suggests that he will join the crew in a few days.

Before they began work on the film, sources claim that Nitesh Tiwari and team did a small pooja ceremony on the set. Reportedly, Sai Pallavi will play Sita in the film.
There are also rumours that Kubbra Sait had auditioned to play Ravana’s sister, Surpanakha, in the film. There is no surety whether this did happen or not.
