Kalki 2898 AD is unstoppable at the box office! ThePrabhas and Deepika Padukone-starrer has beenearning moolah at the box office since itsrelease. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie has got an outstanding response from the audience at the box office despite receiving mixed reviews from critics.

Released on June 27, Ashwin's $72 million sci-fi thriller has amassed over Rs 400 crore (Rs 4 billion) at the box office in India.
As per Sachnilk, in the first seven days, the dystopian sci-fi actioner has minted Rs 414.85 crore (Rs 4.4 billion) at the box office. The major portion of the movie's collection comes from the Telugu language.
The filmhas earneda staggeringRs 212.25 crore (Rs 2.2 billion) in Telugu, followed by Hindi Rs 162.5 crore, Tamil: Rs 23.1 crore; Kannada: Rs 2.8 crore and Malayalam Rs 14.2 crore.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh has shared data on the movie's excellent performance in the Hindi belt. The pan-India movie, featuring Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone inpivotal roles, isexpected to cross the Rs 200 crore (Rs 2 billion) mark in its secondweek, becoming the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2024.
Taran wrote in a post shared on X, ''The performance on weekdays [Mon - Thu] was rock-solid, with #Kalki2898AD hitting double digits every single day... Although mass pockets slowed down from Tue onwards, the energetic footfalls at major centres compensated for the shortfall. As it steps into Week 2, #Kalki2898AD is expected to amass big numbers on [second] Sat - Sun, breaching ₹ 200 cr mark in Weekend 2 and emerging the HIGHEST GROSSING *HINDI* FILM OF 2024, surpassing the *lifetime biz* of #Fighter.''
Not only in the domestic market, but the movie is doing well overseas too. In the first week, the movie has earned around $14 million in North America.

Nag Ashwin's movie Kalki 2898 AD has been in the talks for its grand sets, top-notch VFX, and cameos. The movie features guestappearances by Mrunal Thakur, Ram Gopal Varma, SS Rajamouli, Vijay Deverakonda, and Dulquer Salmaan.
After the release, anticipation for the Kalki 2898 AD sequel has doubled. And as per the producer,C. Ashwini Dutt, the fans would not have towait much for part 2.
Talking about the sequel, Dutt revealed that 60 per centof work is almost done.
