According to Hindu scriptures, Kalki is the 10th avatar of the Hindu god Lord Vishnu.

“Your Movie has changed the basic concept about Lord Kalki, from what has been written and explained in Hindu Puranic Scriptures and for the said reasons, the portrayal and depiction of the story of Lord Kalki is wholly inaccurate and also blatantly disrespectful to these sacred texts, which are central to the religious beliefs and practices of a vast number of devotees, numbering in the hundreds of crores,” the notice said.

Freedom of expression does not mean that you can play with our faith,” &nbsp;Krishnam added.

Kalki 2898 AD is the third biggest Indian opener and has surpassed the collection of Yash-starrer KGF Chapter 2, which made Rs 159 crore (Rs 1.5 billion) on its opening day. Kalki 2898 AD is behind SS Rajamouli’s films RRR and Baahubali 2 (which also featured Prabhas, the lead actor of Kalki 2898 AD). RRR, which eventually won an Oscar, made Rs 223 crore (Rs 2.2 billion approx) on its opening day. And Baahubali 2, which also starred Prabhas, made Rs 217 crore (over Rs 2 billion) on its first day.
