Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor gets an extortion call, demanding Rs 5 crore

Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor has allegedly received an extortion call demanding Rs 5 crore. The caller claimed to be a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, the same group allegedly behind the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan's house and threats to Tiger Shroff.

Soon after getting the call, the actor approached the Mumbai Police, who transferred the case to the Anti-Extortion Cell and the Crime Branch.

Kapoor received the extortion call at a time when the industry is gripped by fear, especially after shots were fired at Tiger Shroff's car in Juhu and just days after it was learnt that legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan's Juhu Bungalow was under a bomb threat.

Now, Tusshar Kapoor has reportedly received a Rs 5-crore extortion call from someone posing as a man claiming to be Harry Boxer, said to be a member of the Bishnoi gang.

The technical team examined an audio recording of the threatening call allegedly from a man named Harry. They compared the caller's voice with official samples of Boxer's voice available in its database.

According to senior police officials, a mismatch was found between the two recordings. However, this led to the belief that the call may have been a hoax that someone had used the gang's name to create fear, as per IANS. Now the police are trying to trace the person, who sent the threatening call. More details are awaited.

This comes weeks after multiple shots were fired at actor Tiger Shroff, who thankfully escaped without any serious injuries. The shots were fired when the actor was exiting a stadium in Juhu after a football match.

The incident sent shockwaves across the city, prompting many celebrities to tighten their security. Swift action was taken in the Shroff case, and multiple arrests have been made so far.
