The retentions for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) were announced on Thursday (Nov. 7) as players learned their fate for the 2025 season. Top players like Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur and Ellyse Perry were some of the big names that made the cut for retention as teams prepare for the 2025 campaign. The WPL retention deadline did not bring many surprises, and players who form the major core of the teams were retained by the five franchises.
Here are all the details of the five franchises, including defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who got the better of Delhi Capitals in last season’s final.
