The Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024/25 edition is keenly awaited and will kick off soon. The upcoming India-Australia Test series will comprise five Tests, the first time since 1991-92. Both the heavyweights are gearing up for the five-match series opener with the first Test at the Perth Stadium, Perth, starting on Friday (Nov 22). While India will be without regular captain Rohit Sharma, with Jasprit Bumrah leading in his absence, Australia will look to get going from the word go with a full-strength squad under Pat Cummins' captaincy.
Ahead of the upcoming BGT, here is the full schedule of the five Tests:
1st Test: Australia vs India, Perth (7.50 AM IST) from Nov 22-26, 2024
2nd Test: Australia vs India, Adelaide (9:30 AM IST) from Dec6-10, 2024
3rd Test: Australia vs India, Brisbane (5:50 AM IST) from Dec14-18, 2024
4th Test: Australia vs India, Melbourne (5 AM IST) from Dec26-30, 2024
5th Test: Australia vs India, Sydney (5 AM IST) from Jan3-7, 2025
The second Test, in Adelaide, will be a day-night affair. Australia will be eager to start off well after having lost the previous two Test series versus India at home. They have not won the BGT since the 2014/15 edition.
