According to reports, petrol prices in Mumbai were registered at Rs 89.44 per litre, an increase of Rs 0.15/litre, while diesel prices shot up by Rs 0.7per litre at Rs 78.33 for a litre.

Fuel prices on Sunday witnessed a new high with petrol and diesel breaching earlier figures.

In Delhi, petrol was being sold 0.28 paise higher at Rs 81.91 per litre, while the price of diesel went up by 0.18 paise to Rs 73.72 per litre.

Mumbai continued to be the worst affected by rising fuel prices, with petrol retailing at a staggering Rs Rs 89.29 per litre and diesel at Rs 78.26 per litre on Saturday.
