Stellantis launches Free2move Charge to support electric vehicle transition
Stellantis has made progress in the field of electrification through the launch of its Free2move Charge website and app which aims to help consumers shift easily to EVs as it introduces its first electric cars this year. These include the Fiat 500e, Jeep Wagoneer S, and Dodge Charger Daytona models among others that will hit the US market this year, with each incorporating cutting-edge technology while still carrying the same DNA.
The COO for Stellantis Carlos Zarlenga said that “electrification is a game changer,” mentioning efficiency gains and better performance to illustrate his point. This will help enhance Jeep off-road prowess while solidifying Dodge Charger as the fastest muscle car globally.
To support new battery-electric vehicle (BEV) owners, the Free2move Charge platform provides comprehensive assistance throughout the buying process. It can be downloaded from Apple or Google’s app stores and teaches users about BEVs and charging options available.

Mathilde Lheureux, head of energy and charge business unit explained that Stellantis gives customers a choice between a Free2move Level 2 charging unit or USD 600 worth of charging credits usable at numerous stations spread across America.

Stellantis customers will gain access to over 75,000 charging stations across the US, including partnerships with ChargePoint, Shell Recharge, and EVgo. Additionally, through its joint venture with IONNA, Stellantis aims to deploy 30,000 in-network chargers, with the first stations set to open in 2024.
