The 1.5-minute video features scenes from Kamala Harris'campaign and begins with the Hindi lyrics, "Hamari Ye Kamala Harris." The campaign’s new song, “Nacho Nacho,” is based on the Hindi version of the Oscar-winning track from the Bollywood film RRR. This catchy tune is meant to energise Indian-American voters and show support for Harris.

Connecting across cultures

“With over 4.4 million Indian-Americans and 6 million South Asians eligible to vote, our goal is to help propel Vice President Kamala Harris to victory in 2024. The video transcends language and cultural barriers, resonating with voters in Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Bengali and more,” Bhutoria told PTI.

“Bollywood has always been about breaking barriers and telling stories that unite us. Kamala Harris embodies that same vision—bringing people together and championing a future where diversity is our greatest strength. Her journey is a story we all believe in,” he added.

Campaign gears up for election showdown

Kamala Harris became the Democratic nominee after President Joe Biden stepped down due to health issues. Her campaign has brought new energy as she prepares to face Donald Trump in the upcoming election.
