North Carolina US Presidential Election 2024: The United States held its presidential elections on November 5. Republican nominee Donald Trump faced off against Democratic nominee Kamala Harris as they competed for the presidency. Voting took place in all 50 states, allowing citizens to choose who would lead the country for the next four years.

North Carolina is situated in the southeastern part of the United States. It shares borders with Virginia to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, South Carolina to the south, Georgia to the southwest, and Tennessee to the west. It is the 28th largest state and the 9th most populous in the country. Together with South Carolina, it forms part of the Carolinas region along the East Coast.

Who won the presidential election in the state in 2020?

In 2020, North Carolina voted for Donald Trump by a 1.3 per cent margin. Trump won North Carolina with a 49.93 per cent plurality over Biden's 48.59 per cent vote share.

Donald Trump secured victory in the pivotal state of North Carolina on Tuesday, claiming its 16 electoral votes and defeating Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.

North Carolina has been a key target for Democrats in presidential races, though the last time a Democratic candidate won the state was in 2008, when Barack Obama narrowly triumphed over John McCain.
