
New Jersey US Presidential Election 2024: The United States held its presidential elections on November 5. Republican nominee Donald Trump faced off against Democratic nominee Kamala Harris as they competed for the presidency. Voting took place in all 50 states, allowing citizens to choose who would lead the country for the next four years.

In 2020, New Jersey voted for Democrat Joe Biden, who received 57% of the votes. Since 1992, the state has consistently supported Democratic candidates.

Kamala Harris has won the New Jersey race, securing the state’s 14 Electoral College votes. In 2020, Joe Biden won New Jersey with 57 per cent of the vote, while Donald Trump received 41 per cent. In 2016, Hillary Clinton also won the state, with 55 per cent to Trump’s 42 per cent. New Jersey has been reliably Democratic, voting for the Democratic candidate in every presidential election since 1992. New Jersey is a northeastern state of the United States. It is highly urbanised, with a population of about 9.3 million. The state is an important industrial centre but faces challenges like slum development and environmental issues.
