Top Republican Mitch McConnell and top Democrat Chuck Schumer have both said flags on all government buildings should be at half mast for the late senator.
Trump and McCain have feuded a number of times, with McCain being one of the few Republicans to to call Trump out on his America First policy. McCain said it was antithetical to the values of America.
He also voted against Trump's attempted repeal of Obamacare.
