
Victoria's Secret fashion show 2017 took place in Shanghai, China on Monday when model Ming Xi had a nerve-wracking experience.
Xi had a little slip-up on the runway while walking as one of Victoria's Secret angels with a long cape and an assortment of flowers on her back.
With high heels and a long train made of sheer material, she slipped and landed on her knees beforefalling completely on the catwalk.
She, however, got up with the help of a fellow angel,Gizele Oliveira. Xi continued walking and finished the walk with a smile.
The Chinese model reportedly came back on the runway with a new look soon after the mishap and slayedthe look.
According to the Twitter account c-drama tweets, Xi took to her Weibo account to thank fans for their support.
Xi said, "I’m sorry I disappointed everyone, thank you all for your concern, being a model for seven years, I’ve fallen countless times on the way... but I know regardless how painful it is, I have to stand up, finish walking. I’ll continue walking on. TY."
Born as Xi Mengyao inShanghai, the model felt sorry to have created an embarrassment of herself while walking for the high-profile fashion show in her hometown.

She also took to Instagram to share her experience and express gratitude to those who supported her. She wrote: "As many of you may already know, I fell during my 5th year walking at the Victoria's Secret show yesterday. It was no doubt one of the hardest moments I have ever had to go through in my career, especially since the show was taking place in my hometown, in front of my mother's and my people's eyes. However, the support I received from everyone yesterday was incredible and I am truly grateful to everyone who was there for me. @ed_razek Thank you for your supportive words and your continuous support throughout these 7 years. @giizeleoliveira Thank you for helping me up after the fall, it was a very selfless and loving act from you. Thank you to all the girls who rushed to comfort me at backstage after what had happened, you are all family to me. Lastly thank you to everyone who sent and left me supportive messages. This is the first time that Victoria's Secret held a fashion show in Shanghai.The spotlight on the models increased after Victoria's Secret chose a record seven Chinese-origin models for the annual show which is broadcast in over 190 countries. The idea behind this was tobreak into the country's growing lingerie market.
