I am proud to announce that I've asked @Tim_Walz to be my running mate.
As a governor, a coach, a teacher, and a veteran, he's delivered for working families like his.
It's great to have him on the team.

As governor, Walz has promoted a progressive agenda, which features free school meals, climate change goals, tax cuts for the middle class, and extended paid leave for workers in Minnesota. While Walz has consistently supported women's reproductive rights, he has also shown a more conservative side during his time in the USHouse, where he supported agricultural interests and gun rights.
Like Vice President Harris, Governor @Tim_Walz believes that government works to serve us. Not just some of us, but all of us. That’s what makes him an outstanding governor, and that’s what will make him an even better vice president. “These are weird people on the other side. They want to take books away. They want to be in your exam room. Don’t sugarcoat this, these are weird ideas. Listen to them speak, listen to how they talk about things,”Tim Walz said in an interview with MSNBC in July, referringto book bans and women's reproductive consultations with doctors.
Earlier, the Democratic nominee was said to be deciding between two candidates: Pennsylvania's Governor Josh Shapiro and Minnesota's Governor Tim Walz.
