UN To Consider 'Enhanced Protection' Of Heritage Sites In Lebanon

The United Nations is considering enhanced protection of heritage sites in Lebanon, this in response to an appeal by Lebanese lawmakers. Several Israeli strikes in recent weeks have hit close to ancient Roman ruins designated by UNESCO as world heritage sites.
