The UK is facing its worst flu epidemic in a decade, with flu cases rising sharply from 6.1% to 8.2%. The flu season has started unusually early this year, driven largely by increased infections among children and school-aged groups. Health officials, including the NHS and UK Health Security Agency, are urging people to get vaccinated as soon as possible to reduce hospitalizations and severe illness.
