Tory drops media fees for party conference

After the party was accused of creating a "dangerous precedent" worldwide, plans to charge fees to journalists covering the Conservatives' party conference in October have been abandoned. Following conversations between the party and trade associations including the Foreign Press Association and the Society of Editors, the U-turn was made.
