'The Odyssey' debuts to $28.4M in China, sets new IMAX records for Nolan

Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey" delivered a strong Chinese debut, earning $28.4 million over its opening weekend, landing second behind local hit "Once Upon a Time in the Middle East." IMAX alone contributed a massive $13.2 million, 45% of the film's weekend box office, from less than 1% of total screens, setting new IMAX records for a Nolan film in China.
