India’s textile and apparel exporters are getting little respite from the rupee’s fall to a record low, with steep U.S. Tariffs eroding most currency linked advantages. The rupee breached the 90 mark against the dollar this week. It was mostly pressured by foreign portfolio outflows, strong import demand and uncertainty surrounding the pending U.S–India trade deal.
