Ukraine has endured one of the largest aerial attacks since the war began, with Russia launching a massive barrage of 656 drones and 73 missiles across the country. Authorities say at least 21 people were killed and more than 100 injured, with Kyiv among the hardest-hit areas. The scale of the assault has renewed concerns about Ukraine's air defence capabilities, prompting President Volodymyr Zelensky to once again call for greater support from Western allies, particularly advanced US-made air defence systems.
