Every year, a handful of artisans come from West Bengal to New Delhi to make these clay figurines, ahead of the annual Durga Puja celebrations. This community of artisans and artists, lay down their lives and aspirations to recreate the charisma of the goddess Durga each year for the large population of devotees.
