Iraq's Chebayesh marsh battles pollution, drought

In the 1990s, Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein ordered the drainage of the the famous Chebayesh marsh. He wanted to attack the rebels hiding in the reeds. Years after his fall, the wetland was re-flooded. Locals returned too. But now its being threatened by series of factors including climate change. This report tells you more.
