India: Bareilly forms first women's quick response team

In a bold move to enhance women’s safety and empowerment, Bareilly Police has launched the ‘Veerangna Unit’, a Women’s Special Operations Group (SOG) of specially trained female commandos. The unit was inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during his visit to Bareilly, marking a significant step in community-focused policing and zero tolerance for crimes against women.
